kind of haunting

We were at a friend's house last weekend - after their oldest daughter got married. I was aiming to taking photos of everyone (40 something people!) playing volleyball, but none of them were turning out so I turned to taking nature photos. Here's what I got:

The flowers are pretty, but the rest of them are kind of haunting - don't you think?

Opening Night!!!

...is tonight!!! That's right, folks! The annual dance recital that I'm a huge part of (and it's a huge part of my life) opens today. We had our last dress rehearsal last night, so for tonight, Wednesday and Thursday it's go hard or go home. 8-)

My fellow dance teachers' father took some great photos of our dress rehearsal on Saturday. Here are a few (of my dances, my students, my brothers, and all that fun stuff)

the dancer that was supposed to be in this dance got super sick, so the teacher asked me (like, last week. yeah, thanks a lot) to take her place. Spanish, fans... it is a lot of fun
